Economy of Hungary
Hungary's economy, which has a highly developed transportation network, is export-oriented. Bauxite and natural gas are available in the country, which does not have many natural resources. Chemical, plastic, fertilizer, aluminum and construction sectors are active in the country where the industrial economy is developed. In addition, it has developed in computer and technology network. OECD member country maintains its leadership in Central and Eastern Europe in supporting foreign investors. Having considerable contributions in the fields of physics, mathematics, chemistry and engineering, the country supports activities in this field. So far, 13 Hungarian scientists have won Nobel Prizes.
