Inauguration of the Turkish-Hungarian Friendship Monument

As the Hungarian Honorary Consulate in Trabzon, we continue our work without slowing down, with the aim of continuing our relations with Hungary, which has been in existence for centuries and has become more of a fraternity than friendship.

The "Turkish-Hungarian Friendship Monument" was inaugurated in Ganita Park, where the statue of Suleiman the Magnificent, the Trabzon-born Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, is located.

Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Minister Murat Zorluoğlu, Hungarian Ambassador to Ankara Viktor Mátis, Hungary Trabzon Honorary Consul Umut Durbakyim, AK Party Trabzon Provincial President Sezgin Mumcu, Trabzon Provincial Health Director Hakan Usta, Trabzon City Council President Prof. Dr. Hasan Karal, veterans and citizens attended.

The opening, which started with the singing of the National Anthems of Hungary and the Republic of Turkey, continued with the Folk Dance Show and the mini-concert of the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mehteran Team.

After the protocol speeches, the ribbon was cut and the monument was inaugurated.
